Yar Ahmad Yarmand - Vice President R & D (Head of Ottawa Chapter of CABC)

Yar-Ahmad Yarmand, Vice president (R&D) of Canada Afghanistan Business Council (CABC), has an extensive experience in business management, product design, development and manufacturing. At CABC, he is entitled to take part in research and development of projects in order to facilitate and promote business and investment opportunities between Canada and Afghanistan.

As president of Arian Tech (1993-1999), based in Afghanistan and Pakistan,   he was involved in various projects of design, product development, prototype manufacturing and production of water supply, sanitation equipment and infrastructure components.

Arian Tech was also an implementing partner and products & equipment supplier to UN Agencies and international NGO’s in Afghanistan like UNCHS (Habitat), CARE International, Solidarities, FAO, MSF…

Mr. Yarmand is currently president of Yarmand Tech Outdoor Power Equipment based in Ottawa Canada. He is also Vice president of a consulting firm, PYRAMID Integrated Development Inc. based in Afghanistan and Canada, providing consultancy services to assist entrepreneurs, businesses in both, private and public sectors, to improve performance and productivity, and to bring greater value to the Afghan business community and their Canadian counterparts.
